Multimedia Book Release w/ Elizabeth Garber

Colonial Theatre is ready to celebrate the launch of esteemed author Elizabeth Garber’s latest non-fiction book (Sailing on the Edge of Disaster: A Memoir of a Young Woman’s Daring Year) THIS Sunday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m. in the Dreamland Auditorium.

During Garber’s tour stop at the Colonial, she will be debuting a *never-before-seen* short film to the theatre-goers who attend!!

Edge of Disaster… tells the story of how a bookish teen and her younger brother are sent by their domineering father to “shape up” on a sail training program. During training they not only discover the rigors and joys of being at sea while learning to scour decks, splice lines and climb rigging—but also how to survive piracy, a near-sinking, and being held hostage by gunboats.
