Harry Chapin became world-famous with hit songs Taxi, W.O.L.D., and Cat’s In The Cradle. Offstage, Chapin co-founded WhyHunger in 1975, founded the Long Island Cares Food Bank, and supported dozens of other nonprofits.

When in Doubt, Do Something was released on 2020 World Food Day. The film features his family, band members, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Pat Benatar, Pete Seeger, Kenny Rogers, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Sir Bob Geldof, Ken Kragen, Jac Holzman and many more.

Like so many talented artists and activists, Chapin died young in a freak accident and was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in ’87 (link).
